Yeong-sook Seo is responsible for South Korea in our Asia Desk Team. She supports us in all patent, trademark and design matters related to South Korea including examination and grant proceedings as well as litigation and enforcement of IP rights in South Korea. In addition, Yeong supports our patent attorneys in working with cooperation partners and assisting clients from South Korea in all fields ranging from mechanical engineering, physics and electrical engineering to pharmaceuticals, chemistry and life sciences.

Ms. Seo was born in South Korea and studied traditional Korean music at Chung-Ang University in South Korea.

After receiving her Master’s degree in 1996, Yeong stayed abroad in the United States.

Back in South Korea, Yeong worked in cultural institutions, coordinating and directing cultural events from the fields of theater and traditional Korean music.

In 2004, Yeong began working as a lecturer at the Korea Mecenat Association in Seoul, South Korea.

Besides, Yeong has given several solo concerts on the traditional Korean instrument Kayagum and has completed training as a professor in Korean tea ceremony at the Federation of Korean Tea Masters Society.

In 2014, she moved to Düsseldorf, studied German and joint GILLE HRABAL as a Foreign Affairs Manager Korea.
