Dr. Felix Meinel is experienced in providing strategic advice to start-ups, taking into account technical property rights, trademarks and designs. In addition, he advises and represents medium-sized and large companies, in particular in patent matters. His technical focus is on engineering. His particular strengths include his comprehensive consulting approach and his creativity in finding individual solutions for the problems and objectives of the client.

Felix Meinel
Dr. Felix Meinel was born in Leipzig in 1988 and grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia. After his engineering studies in water management at TU Dresden, he did research on water treatment at TU Berlin. Part of this activity was the design, dimensioning and construction of a large-scale experimental plant, which he supervised for several years. Stays abroad and contributions at international conferences took him to Mexico City and Istanbul, among other places. Felix completed his doctorate in 2016 on the topic of adsorptive removal of micropollutants with activated carbon under Prof. Martin Jekel.
The results of his practical research during his doctorate led to numerous scientific publications in relevant journals as well as a patent.
Felix completed his training in intellectual property law at an up-and-coming Berlin patent law firm, at the German Patent and Trademark Office, and at the Federal Patent Court in Munich. In 2019, he received his licenses as a German Patent Attorney, European Trademark and Design Attorney, and as a representative before the European Patent Office.
Felix is experienced in providing strategic advice to start-ups, taking into account technical IP rights, trademarks and designs. He is creative in finding solutions for an optimal, comprehensive protection of innovations. In addition, he advises and represents medium-sized and large companies, particularly in patent matters. Besides drafting patent applications and supervising examination proceedings, his expertise also includes the enforcement and destruction of intellectual property rights. Felix further provides expert opinions on the freedom to operate (FTO) and the validity of intellectual property rights.
His technical focus is on the fields of automotive engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, physics, process engineering and medical engineering.
Felix is married and has three children.
